Empowering Global Education for Humanity
The Global Forum for the Humanization of Education aims to reshape education policies worldwide, advocating for a holistic approach that prioritizes human development and social justice. Through dialogue and collaboration, we strive to redefine educational practices in light of pressing global challenges.
The movement is the result of an initiative that began in 2019 in Dharamsala, India, where an international committee of educators and scholars began discussing and drafting the Declaration. After five years of international discussion, a globally agreed Declaration was developed: “Educating Humanity for the Third Millennium”, based on which a Global Forum was held in February 2025 at Azim Premji University in Bangalore, India. At the conclusion of the Forum, it was decided to launch the movement and hold regular Global Forums.
